FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Orders, payment, delivery, COAs and storage, all in one place. Still stuck? The team is one message away.

Track my order / delivery

Where is my order?

When your order ships we email you a tracking number. You can also enter your order number and email on the Track order page.

If you paid by PayID or bank transfer, the order only goes into the dispatch queue once the payment has landed in our account. That’s the most common reason an order hasn’t shipped yet.

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders paid before [2pm AWST] on a business day are packed and sent the same day. Orders paid after the cut-off, or on a weekend or public holiday, go out the next business day.

How long does delivery take?

Once dispatched, standard tracked delivery usually takes [3–6] business days and express [1–3] business days. Regional and remote areas can take longer. Carrier delays during peak periods and bad weather are outside our control, but we’ll chase the carrier for you.

Tracking is stuck, or it says delivered but I don’t have it

First check with neighbours, your building’s mail room or reception, and your nearest post office. Carriers often leave parcels in a “safe place” or return them to a pickup point.

If tracking hasn’t changed for [5] business days, or it says delivered and you still can’t find it after 24 hours, contact us with your order number. We’ll open an investigation with the carrier and keep you updated.

Can I ship to a Parcel Locker or Parcel Collect?

Yes, for standard shipping. Enter the locker or Parcel Collect address in the shipping address field exactly as Australia Post gives it, including your MyPost number. PO boxes are also supported for standard shipping; express orders need a street address.

Payment

How do I pay?

Choose PayID or bank transfer at checkout. After you place the order you’ll see our payment details and your order number on the confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

Always put your order number as the payment reference. Without it we can’t match the payment to your order, and that holds up dispatch.

Did my payment go through? Is my order confirmed?

Your order is placed as soon as you see the confirmation page. It shows as “on hold” until the payment arrives. When we’ve matched your payment, the status changes to “processing” and you get an email.

PayID payments usually arrive within minutes. Standard bank transfers can take 1–2 business days, especially between different banks or over a weekend.

PayID won’t work or gives an error

Check that you’ve typed the PayID exactly as shown, with no extra spaces. Some banks hold the first payment to a new PayID for a security check. If yours does, approve it in your banking app or wait for the hold to clear.

If it still fails, pay by normal bank transfer (BSB and account number) using the same order number as the reference.

I paid over 24 hours ago and the order still isn’t confirmed

Bank transfers between different banks can take up to two business days. If it’s been longer than that, send us your order number and a screenshot of the payment receipt and we’ll find it.

How long do you hold an unpaid order?

Unpaid orders are held for [48 hours]. After that they’re cancelled automatically and the stock goes back on sale. If you need more time, message us before the hold runs out.

COA & quality

How do I know the products are what they say?

Every batch has a certificate of analysis (COA) from an independent testing laboratory. It reports identity and purity, usually by HPLC and mass spectrometry. Your order email links the certificate for each product you buy, and every certificate is in our COA library.

Can I get the COA for my exact vial?

Yes. Your order confirmation email and your order page link the certificate for each product you received. Can’t find it? Send us your order number and we’ll email the certificate.

My vial looks wrong

My vial looks empty

It almost certainly isn’t. Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are a very small mass, often only a few milligrams. They can dry as a thin film or a tiny pellet on the bottom or walls of the vial, and sometimes they’re barely visible. Hold the vial against a dark background and tilt it under a light.

If you’re still unsure, send us a photo with your order number before you open it.

The solution is cloudy or won’t go clear

Some compounds take a few minutes to dissolve fully. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial, swirl gently, and don’t shake, because shaking can damage the peptide and cause foaming. Let it stand at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.

If it’s still cloudy or has visible particles after that, stop and contact us with a photo and your order number.

My vial arrived damaged or the seal is broken

Don’t use it. Photograph the vial and the packaging and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll replace it.

Change or cancel my order

Can I change items or cancel my order?

Yes, as long as it hasn’t been packed yet. Message us as soon as possible with your order number and the change you need. If you’ve already paid and cancel, we refund to the original account within [3–5] business days. Once an order has shipped it can’t be changed.

I need to change my shipping address

Contact us before dispatch and we’ll update it. After dispatch we can only ask the carrier to redirect, which isn’t always possible. Double-check your address at checkout, because we can’t be responsible for parcels sent to an address entered incorrectly.

Dosing & how to use

Can you tell me how much to take or give me a protocol?

No. All our products are sold strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research. They aren’t for human or animal use, so we can’t give dosing, administration or protocol advice, and our team will decline these questions.

For bench work, our reconstitution calculator works out solution concentration and the volume needed for a given mass of compound.

Products, stock & formats

What formats do you sell?

Our peptides are supplied as lyophilised powder in sealed glass vials. We also stock bacteriostatic water and basic lab supplies. We don’t sell pre-mixed solutions, pens, capsules or tablets.

Is something in stock?

Stock is shown live on each product page. If you can add it to the cart, it’s in stock. Sold-out items show “Out of stock”.

Do you have a product I can’t see on the site?

If it’s not listed, we don’t currently stock it. New compounds appear under New arrivals first.

Bulk pricing

Do you offer bulk pricing?

Yes, and it’s automatic. Buy more of the same product and the price drops:

  • 2 vials: 5% off
  • 3–4 vials: 10% off
  • 5–9 vials: 20% off
  • 10+ vials: 25% off

The discount shows in your cart and at checkout, along with how much you’re saving. For larger lab orders, contact us.

Ordering & GST

How do I place an order?

Add products to your cart, go to checkout, and enter your details and shipping address. Choose a shipping speed and a payment method, then place the order. You’ll get a confirmation email with your order number and payment instructions.

Do I need an account?

No, you can check out as a guest. An account lets you see your order history and track orders faster.

Do your prices include GST?

All prices are in Australian dollars. Ironbark Labs is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within Australia only.

How much is shipping?

Standard tracked shipping is [$12], express tracked is [$20], and standard shipping is free on orders over [$150]. See the Shipping page for details.

I paid for express. Why does tracking show a longer window?

The carrier’s estimate is generic and often conservative. Express parcels are handled on the priority network from the moment they’re scanned. The estimate usually tightens after the first scan at the sorting facility.

How are orders packed?

Vials are sealed, padded and packed in plain, unbranded outer packaging. Nothing on the outside shows what’s inside.

Storage

How should I store my peptides?

Keep unopened lyophilised vials sealed, dry and away from light. Store them in the fridge (2–8 °C) for short-term storage, or in the freezer (−20 °C) for longer-term storage.

Once reconstituted, keep the solution refrigerated and use it within the period your research protocol specifies. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Bacteriostatic water is stored below 25 °C.

Is it a problem that my parcel was warm in transit?

Lyophilised peptides are stable at room temperature for short periods, so a few days in transit is normal. Refrigerate the vials when they arrive.

Research use & compliance

Who can buy from Ironbark Labs?

You must be 18 or older and buying for legitimate laboratory, scientific or educational research. By ordering, you confirm this.

Are your products approved for human use?

No. Our products aren’t medicines and aren’t approved by the TGA for human or veterinary use. They’re sold for research only and are labelled that way.

Is it legal to buy research peptides in Australia?

It depends on the compound and on where you are. Some peptides are scheduled substances under the Poisons Standard, and state rules differ. You’re responsible for making sure your purchase, possession and use comply with the laws that apply to you. We can’t give legal advice.

Returns & refunds

What is your return policy?

For safety and quality reasons we can’t accept returns of opened vials, or of items that have left our controlled storage, unless they’re faulty. Damaged, faulty or incorrect items are replaced or refunded. Full details are on the Refunds page.

My order arrived damaged or wrong. What do I do?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the items and packaging. We’ll replace or refund it quickly. You don’t need to send anything back unless we ask.

Still have questions?
