GH secretagogues
What is CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin?
A GHRH analogue paired with a selective ghrelin-receptor agonist, studied in growth-hormone axis research.
- Class
- GHRH analogue + GH secretagogue
- Also known as
- Mod GRF(1–29) + ipamorelin
- Type
- Two-peptide blend
- Research stage
- Preclinical / early clinical
01 · Classification
What it is
This blend combines two peptides that act on different parts of the growth-hormone axis. CJC-1295 without DAC (also called modified GRF 1–29) is a stabilised version of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. Ipamorelin is a five-amino-acid peptide that activates the ghrelin receptor.
They are paired in research because GHRH-type and ghrelin-type signals act through separate receptors and are studied for combined effects on GH pulses.
02 · Mechanisms
What has been studied
- GHRH receptor: the CJC-1295 component acts on pituitary GHRH receptors.
- GHS-R1a (ghrelin receptor): ipamorelin is described as selective, with little effect on cortisol or prolactin in early studies.
- Pulsatility: research focuses on how each component shapes the timing and size of GH release.
03 · Evidence
Where the research is
Each component has limited early-phase clinical data. The combination itself has little published controlled research.
